The
Copts Digest Charter©
Purpose:
The Copts Daily Digest is a fellowship forum provided
by the U.S. Copts
Association and is intended to facilitate the communications for Copts
all
over the world through electronic mail via the Internet. It is devoted
to
the service of the Copts in their spiritual needs as well as in facing
today's social issues and challenges. Through testimony for the truth
and
the right, the prime objectives of the Digest are to:
- Promote
the preservation of the cultural identity of the Copts everywhere.
- Help
the Copts living in Egypt attain their natural right of being treated
as equal citizens with their Egyptian Muslim brothers and sisters.
- Emphasize
the unity and equality of all Egyptians and the common ancient
history shared by all those of Egyptian origin.
- Promote
the creation in Egypt of a civic and pluralistic society that
fully respects the human rights of its composing fabrics.
Individuals
of all denominations and religions, who are genuinely
interested in the heritage, history and culture of the Copts are invited
to
apply for membership of the Copts Daily Digest. Applicants will be
accepted
as members subject to the approval of the Digest's Governing Board.
Given the purpose of the Digest as stated above, we believe that testimony
for the truth and the right can not simply use a political style,
nor
depend only upon people, but it is through God's blessings and the
work of
His Spirit, and our souls testifying to God.
