Dear Beloved in Christ:
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

The Copts (Christians of Egypt) face severe persecution under Islam. I can tell that at least a Copt is killed every day. It is always happening that we have mass funerals to bury our loved ones that killed by Muslims for no reason except for their Christian faith. This is the normal daily life of Christians who live in Muslim countries.
On Saturday, January, 2000, while Christians were celebrating the new year, Muslims attacked Christians of El-Kosheh village, Sohag Province. They slaughtered 21 Christians by cutting their throats and they burned other Christians alive. They looted their homes. Hundreds were wounded.
On Friday, October 21, 2005, 15,000 Muslims attacked Christians of Muharrem Bay in Alexandria. They destroyed many churches and cars owned by Christians. They burned and looted many businesses owned by Christians.

Christians are persecuted and discriminated against by Muslims not only in the Egyptian community but also inside the American embassy in Cairo, Egypt.

I just got off the phone with a Coptic lady. She is complaining about Muslims taking over the American embassy in Cairo, Egypt. Many Copts (Christians of Egypt) brought to my attention the same problem. I myself experienced this problem while in Egypt. Despite the fact I was granted asylum by the American embassy in Cairo in 1996 through American agencies that defend human rights of the persecuted church, a Muslim named Magdy Zahran gave me a hard time to get my official paper done. Magdy Zahran insulted me and my Christian faith. He accused me falsely that I will go to America to attack Islam. I assured him that if he believes that Islam is revealed by God, he should believe that no man can be a threat to God's revelation. I told him that we Christians believe that even the gates of hell cannot prevail against the Church (Isaiah 54:17; Matthew 16:18). I don't know if Magdy Zahran is still working for the American embassy in Cairo or not. But I DO BELIEVE that Magdy Zahran and Muslims who are like Magdy Zahran have to be removed from power. Egypt has many SADDAMS too. Muslims have been persecuting Christians for over 1400 years. It is time for JUSTICE to be done!

Is there a way that we discuss this problem with the American administration and have the eyes of the American Congress opened to what is going on inside the American embassy in Cairo and around the world?
Could we address this problem as a part of the COPTIC PROBLEM?
Could we ask that a certain percentage of the American embassy employees have to be Copts (Christians of Egypt)?

I'm not talking about getting the American government involved in issues deal with religions. I understand that in America the State and Church are separate. I'm talking about Human Rights. Christians should have equal rights the same as Muslims. Christians are treated like DIRT by Muslim employees even inside the American embassy in Cairo, Egypt. Muslims have been persecuting Christians for over 1400 years. It is time of JUSTICE to be done! The American aid should be given to states which promote democracy and respect human rights of minorities.
