For accurate statistics, which refute the theses that 1. There were more military (Active Duty) active duty deaths during the Clinton years than the Bush-43 years and 2. That the media has tried to obscure these figures, I refer you to the actual Congressional Research Service Report, reffered to in your post, hosted at a site run by the United States Air Force, at
http://www.au.af.mil/au/awc/awcgate/crs/rl32492.pdf. Table 4 on page 10 lists the number of deaths of AD servicemen, table 5 on page 11 further segregates the data by cause of death, including hostile action, homicide, accidents and self inflicted injury.
