Hilali have apologized 4 times since this issue was translated on The Australian News Paper & SBS TV.
There was a big show on SBS Australia “Insight” last night about this...It was very good to see Australian Federal member of Parliament saying this :
BRONWYN BISHOP, FEDERAL LIBERAL PARTY: Look, the context that's being discussed is one where we have to understand that this is Australian and we feel free when we agree with the laws and rules that govern our society and people who come here and want to overturn that society, are speaking politically. This is not a religious argument, this is an ideological argument. The answer to that rape question would be if people like that Sheikh and Keysar Trad's first best friend, preach from the pullpit that men may not rape women. Where is that sermon? The bottom line is this - that the horrendous part of that sermon was said, if she had been alone in her room in her house in her head scarf it wouldn't have happened, ie, a prisoner. Now in this country, being a women is being the equal of being a man. I am the equal of that Sheikh, I am the equal of al-Hilali and that is a mind set which they cannot understand.
