Ways To Get Involved

It is impossible not to reflect on our modern day martyrs and the harsh life experienced by Christians in Egypt nowadays. We must ACT NOW to ensure that to bring Egypt to terms with its persecution and human rights abuses against Christians. Here are what you can do, if you live in the US.

1) Write letters or e-mails of protest to your Members of Congress, Senators and to your President.

With respect to Egypt, we are urging all letters to make reference to the religious discrimination against Christians. Because the U.S. government has ignored the Coptic struggle in Egypt in exchange for Egypt's cooperation in the peace process, we must continue demanding the Egypt respects all international laws regarding human rights and freedom of religious.

Your letters can also appeal specifically for the U.S. to take the lead on restricting the US Aid on Egypt's respect to its minority Christians and their human rights.

2) Use your church, work, school and other networks to start a petition or mass letter writing campaign in your area. A petition form will be included in this site.

3) Write opinion articles and letters to the editor about the persecuted Church in Egypt and religious oppression, for newspapers, magazines and church bulletins.

We are grateful for your interest and for your support which has helped us put the issue of religious persecution in the forefront of the national agenda. In the year ahead, we are eager to help Christians in Egypt to be granted their full rights as equal citizens of Egypt.

Inform your Coptic Church

We realize that not everyone has access to computer or surfs the net, that is why it is extremely important that you inform all your friends and family of the latest news on persecution in Egypt. You will be able to find the latest news on our front page or you can use our archive to get detailed past news.

Encourage your friends and family to register with us, so we may have a good count of our Coptic population outside of Egypt and our community's concentration, especially in the US. This information is valuable in making contact with Members of Congress or your Senator.

If you live outside of the US, still register, we share our statistics with our various Coptic activist in several countries.
