لماذا أصبح المسلمون وحدهم مشغولين بتصحيح صورتهم دونًا عن بقية الديانات؟!

و العظة الثامنة للقديس إسحق السرياني ( 670 AD ):

“And what is a merciful heart? It is the hearts burning for the sake of the entire creation, for men, for birds, for animals, for demons and for every created thing; and by the recollection and sight of them the eyes of a merciful man pour forth abundant tears. From the strong and vehement mercy which grips his heart and from his great compassion, his heart is humbled and he cannot bear to hear or see any injury or slight sorrow in creation. For this reason he continually offers up tearful prayer, even for irrational beasts, for the enemies of the truth and for those who harm him, that they be protected and receive mercy. And in like manner he even prays for the family of reptiles because of the great compassion that burns in his heart without measure in the likeness of God.”

Notice that St. Isaac’s first reference is to mercy. It would be difficult to find a word that so comprehensively encapsulates what our faith says about God. He is a merciful God.

اولا اشكرك علي الموقع الجميل ده....ثانيا, لوهلة افتكرتك مثقف وبتقرا انجليزي كويس لكن عرفت علي طول انك مش مش....السبب ان نفس المقالة بتشرح بعد كده علي طول ايه حكاية الصلاة للشيطان وانها رمز للرغبة في عودة الكل لربنا...وازاي لازم توافر النية اللي مش ممكن تتوجد عند الشيطان لانه مصدراالياس للراغبين فى التوبة
Listen to St. Isaac … no one is beyond redemption. He even claims that the Love of God gives us confidence to pray for the demons! If we say that we are too sinful for God to save us then we are guilty of pride, masquerading as false humility.
