the middle east was indeed a melting pot of more that its fair share of the world's religions. The trouble with some is that they like to (or need to) revise history in order to suit their modern faiths.

If the people currently living in such places as mecca or parts of iraq, syria, iran and turkey could only get over the delusion that their religion has owned these places since the beginning of time we would have less problems in the world.
